CONDITIONS
Knee pain and injuries can impair a patient’s ability to walk, perform their work and household responsibilities or participate in sports/hobbies. Problems at the knee joint can arise for many reasons, including acute injuries, overuse, arthritis, or referred pain from the low back. The pain can be acute or chronic and symptoms of knee dysfunction include: pain with prolonged sitting or standing, decreased range of motion, or difficulty or pain with walking, running, and stair climbing. A physical therapist can determine the cause of this pain, and develop a treatment plan to restore a patient to a pain-free level of function.
